The Board of Secondary Education, Assam, serves as the state board of secondary education for Assam. Each year, SEBA conducts the Assam HSLC Exam for students in Class 10. The SEBA HSLC Exam for the year 2024 is scheduled to take place from February 16th to March 4th, 2024, in accordance with the official exam schedule released by the board. Note: Subjects marked with an asterisk (*) will have a time allowance of 2 hours. For the morning shift, the exam will take place from 9 AM to 11 AM, while for the evening shift, it will be scheduled from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
SEBA Routine Important Notes
a) Five minutes extra time is allowed from 8:55 AM to 9:00 AM in the Morning shift and 1:25 PM to 1:30 PM in the Afternoon shift to read the Question Paper only. The Officer-in-Charge will arrange the distribution of Question Papers accordingly. |
b) Modern Indian Languages (MIL): Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, Manipuri, Hmar, Nepali, Mizo, Khasi, Garo, Kabri & Urdu. |
c) Elective Languages (Time 3 hours) and In Lieu Languages (Time 2 hours): There will be a common Question paper with groups A and B for each Language viz,- Assamese (E), Hindi (E), Manipuri (E) and Santhali (E). Candidates offering Elective subject will have to appear in both groups A and B while In Lieu Language the candidates will have to appear in group A only, which will be treated as Assamese (IL), Hindi (IL), Manipuri (IL) and Santhali (IL) respectively. |

Note: Examination of all the above Practical subjects will be held in the Examination Centre from where the Candidates appear in theory subjects for the same. This year the Practical Examination will NOT be held in Venues.
