Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences – USTM

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at USTM offers a Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences with research opportunities in Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Analysis.

Research themes include Pharmacognosy and phytochemistry, Drug discovery, Neurosciences, Metabolic disorders, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical formulations, Pharmacology and toxicological studies, and Herbal Technology.

The Central Instrumentation Facilities aim to enhance researchers' ability to obtain and manage grants, perform research in the global community, promote and coordinate multidisciplinary research, and create a culture of high achievement by collaborating with research communities.

The available instrumental facilities include Fourier Transform IR spectrometer, TG-DT Analyzer, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, GC-MS, HPLC, AAS, Fluorescence Microscope, Phase-contrast Microscope, Automatic Rotary Microtome, Fermentor, Hematology Analyzer, RT-PCR, and Gel Electrophoresis (E-Gel power snap).

Eligibility Criteria
Eligible candidates aspiring to pursue the course need to have attained a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute of higher learning.
