Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) – Arunachal University

The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) program is a two-year full-time course prescribed by the National Council for Teacher's Education and the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is a compulsory qualification for teaching in elementary education schools, from Class One to Class Eight.

The program aims to prepare teachers for the primary level and covers various aspects of teaching methodologies, child psychology, classroom management, and subject-specific teaching techniques. The curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively teach young children and develop their interest in learning.

D.El.Ed. programs typically include theoretical coursework for about 1.5 years, followed by practical training for the remaining months. During the practical training period, students are placed in government or private schools where they interact with elementary school children and gain hands-on teaching experience. Trainers accompany them to help them understand and apply the theoretical concepts learned in their classes.

Upon completion of the D.El.Ed. program, graduates are equipped to handle the challenges of teaching at the elementary level and contribute effectively to the education system.
