The Bachelor of Political Science (BAP) program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of political and social issues at both macro and micro levels. The curriculum is designed to equip students with practical knowledge and a broad perspective on political, social, and environmental issues.

Aims and Objectives:
1. Encouraging Practical Knowledge: The program aims to provide students with practical knowledge of political, social, and environmental issues affecting society.
2. Promoting Human Values and Social Commitment: It emphasizes human values and social commitment by addressing issues such as justice, dignity of life, peace, harmony, liberty, rights, and diversity of religion and ethnicity.
3. Field Visits and Practical Experience: Students are provided with opportunities to visit practical field areas, institutions, parliament, secretariat, etc., to gain firsthand experience and observation.
4. Gender and Human Values: The curriculum includes courses that cover relevant issues of gender and human values.

Undergraduate Research:
1. Emphasis on Contemporary Issues: The program offers various courses that focus on contemporary issues, providing students with a deeper understanding of the world around them.
2. Practical Exploration: Through field visits and institutional visits, the program aims to encourage students to explore and observe the practical world in a pragmatic manner.
3. Specialized Areas: The program offers specialized courses such as Introduction to Human Rights, Public Administration, Social Movements in India, Women and Politics, Politics in Northeast India, and more, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of political science.

Eligibility Criteria
HS (10+2) in any stream with 45% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for reserved categories)
