The M.Ed. Special Education (Hearing Impairment) program is designed to provide advanced training and skills to individuals who have already acquired knowledge through their Bachelor's program. The course aims to deepen their understanding of working with hearing-impaired children.

Students are taught various techniques to effectively communicate and interact with hearing-impaired individuals, focusing on improving their skills and overall learning process. The program includes practical training in sign language, subtitles, lip reading, and the use of hearing aids and other devices.

Special educators play a crucial role in providing hearing-impaired children with a better quality of life and helping them develop their hearing abilities. The course addresses the different degrees of hearing loss, ranging from mild to severe, and provides tailored learning experiences to meet the needs of each child.

The M.Ed.-HI program also covers new teaching methods, educational research, dissertation writing, field engagement, curriculum development, leadership, counseling, and educational technology. It aims to enhance students' knowledge of educational research methodology and equip them with the skills needed to excel in teaching and related fields.

Eligibility Criteria
B.Ed. (HI) or B.Ed. with Diploma (HI) with minimum 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates)
