LL. B. (Hons.) 3-year course has been introduced in NERIM Law College under Dibrugarh University from the academic session 2017-18. The Dibrugarh University plays pioneer role in the entire North Eastern Region imparting juridical studies across the law colleges. The course curriculum of this Degree has been designed and formulated by the University with high standards and in consonance with the broa. based principles prescribed by the Bar Council of India.
Some important information regarding the course has been given below which, however, is subject to the modification by the University from time to time.
- The duration of the 3 year LL.B (Hons.) degree course shall be for a period of three academic years. Each academic year is divided into two semesters.
- The 3-year LL.B (Hons.) degree course is full-time course and no student will be allowed to pursue any other course simultaneously.
- The admission of a student can be cancelled at stage if found guilty of violating the Rules prescribed by the University.
OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
- To develop the students to understand the significant role played by the juridical study in the formation of a healthy society.
- To provide an access to the students in developing their ability of communication, critical thinking and creativity and to understand and evaluate information of law inculcating human dignity.
- To provide the academic platform for higher studies in legal learning.
AFFILIATION & APPROVAL
The 3 year LL.B (Hons.) program is conducted at NERIM Law College under the prescribed regulations and syllabi of Dibrugarh University. The program is duly approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
For admission into the Three Year L.B (Hons.) Programme, a candidate shall have passed the Bachelor degree in any in any stream or equivalent from a recognized University of India or outside constituted securing 45% in aggregate, provided that there shall be relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST and 3% for OBC candidates. Selection for admission into the Three Year LL.B(H) course at NERIM Law College under Dibrugarh University shall be based on interview and counseling. A student of LL.B (H) 3 year programme shall have to attend minimum 70% of total classes in each paper to be eligible to appear in each semester and examination.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection for admission into the 3 Year LL.B (Hons.) course at NERIM Law College under Dibrugarh University shall be based on interview and counseling.
REQUIREMENT OF CLASS ROOM ATTENDANCE
A student of LL.B (H) programme shall have to attend minimum 70% of total classes in each paper to be eligible to appear in each semester and examination. N.B: Eligibility criteria and other procedure such as for Admission and Examination is subject to change from time to time as the notification of the University.
EXAMINATION (AS PER REGULATIONS OF DIBRUGARH UNIVERSITY)
Examination consists of continuous internal assessments through sessional examinations, home assignment, seminars and viva-voce etc. and the end semester examinations ordinarily held at the end of every semester with odd semester examination in December and even semester in June every year.
AWARD OF DEGREE
A candidate must pass all his/her semester examination within 6 years in 3 year LL.B (H) course from the date of admission into the 1st semester to be eligible for the degree of LL.B(H)

Total: 28,000 * 6 = Rs. 1,68,000/- [6 Semester or 3 Years]
