The General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) program offers foundational training in nursing and midwifery care. Students study core nursing subjects, anatomy, physiology, and midwifery practices. The curriculum blends theoretical learning with clinical rotations, focusing on patient care, maternal health, and newborn care. Through supervised practice and internships in diverse healthcare settings, students develop skills in nursing care, obstetric assistance, and primary healthcare. Graduates emerge as competent nurses and midwives, prepared for roles in hospitals, maternity centers, or community health services. With proficiency in nursing and midwifery, they provide essential healthcare, support childbirth, and promote maternal and infant well-being in diverse healthcare contexts.
i) 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from the State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However, Science is preferable. ii) 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council iii) 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre iv) Registered ANM with pass mark.
