BSc Physics – USTM

The Department of Physics offers an undergraduate program of BSc in Physics, based on the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) pattern of the UGC. The curriculum includes both theory and practical courses, with a focus on developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience.

The first three semesters cover classical physics concepts, while the final three semesters emphasize modern physics concepts. Practical courses include basic measurement skills, instrument usage, and data analysis, with a significant portion dedicated to computational methods.

In the final semester, students undertake a project work, allowing them to engage in research activities and gain in-depth understanding of a topic. This experience prepares them for higher studies and research, enhancing their skills and competence.

Eligibility Criteria
HS(10+2) with Science with Physics/Chemistry securing 45% marks in aggregate(5% relaxation for Reserved Categories)
