Bachelor of Computer Applications (Hons./ Hons. with Research) – Arunachal University

The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) offered by the Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) is a three-year full-time course that conforms to the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is compliant with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) from Level 5 to Level 7.

Students with a 10+2 background can pursue this program to build a career in computer applications, computing, or IT. Upon completion, they can pursue an MCA at ICASR or other universities in India or abroad. The program is structured with two semesters per year, with examinations held after each semester. Students have the flexibility to appear for exams at their convenience, subject to meeting the minimum duration and other requirements.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for candidates with relevant certifications or diplomas in computer applications, electronics, or information technology. RPL recognizes informal learning gained through work, community, voluntary activities, or independent study. It provides opportunities for personal and career development, helping learners connect their past learning with future opportunities.

The NSQF facilitates RPL by benchmarking individuals' learning against its Level Descriptors, enabling them to identify suitable progression options. This enhances career progression and skills development, benefiting both learners and industries. The NSQF also streamlines the process for RPL, making it easier for Skill Training Providers, Vocational Training Providers, and Certificate awarding bodies to assess and certify learners' skills.
