BA Administration & Governance is a unique 3-year degree program introduced by USTM, aimed at students aspiring to prepare for competitive examinations like the UPSC Civil Services. The program is designed to educate students in a particular subject while also training them in various allied subjects to make them competent and ready to face UPSC and other competitive exams immediately after completing the BA course. Students can choose one optional subject from Sociology, Political Science, History, Geography, or Psychology, and all other subjects are covered through four allied papers in each semester, aligning with the latest UPSC syllabus.

This initiative not only helps students save time and money but also keeps them up-to-date with the knowledge required for cracking civil service examinations during their regular course of study, without the need for additional preparation or spending extra time. If students are unable to qualify for any competitive examination, they can pursue higher education in their main optional subject studied during graduation.

The program is expected to attract students from traditional Arts, Commerce, and Science backgrounds who have a desire to appear for competitive examinations. It is a comprehensive 3-year fully residential degree program with a well-structured module focusing on both academics and competitive exam orientation. Visiting faculties, including in-service/retired IAS/IPS officers, senior civil servants, and successful candidates, will conduct regular classes on holidays and Sundays. At the end of the 3 years, students will be fully prepared to appear for the UPSC examination while obtaining their BA degree.
