Civil engineering stands as the broadest field within the engineering domain, focusing on the vast spectrum of infrastructure development. This encompasses an extensive array of projects such as water works, sewers, dams, power plants, transmission towers/lines, railroads, highways, bridges, tunnels, irrigation canals, river navigation, shipping canals, traffic control, mass transit, airport runways, terminals, industrial plant buildings, and skyscrapers. The field's crucial subdivisions include construction engineering, irrigation engineering, transportation engineering, soils and foundation engineering, geodetic engineering, hydraulic engineering, and coastal and ocean engineering. Civil engineers are instrumental in constructing and maintaining the world's infrastructure. Given the ongoing boom in infrastructure development, the demand for skilled civil engineers remains consistently high, underscoring their pivotal role in shaping the physical environment and enhancing the quality of life.
Eligibility Criteria

Don Bosco University follows specific eligibility criteria:

Higher Secondary Examination:


Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary School Leaving Examination (or its equivalent) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
Additionally, a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Computer Science is required.


OR

Diploma in Engineering and Technology:

Alternatively, candidates who have passed the Diploma in Engineering and Technology examination with at least 50% marks are eligible for admission.
Admission is subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at the lateral entry level are exhausted.
Entrance Examinations:

Candidates are required to appear for JEE (Mains), any State Entrance Test, or the Don Bosco University Graduate Entrance Test.
These eligibility criteria ensure that candidates have a strong academic background in relevant subjects and have demonstrated their aptitude through recognized entrance examinations. Admission is based on merit and performance in the specified entrance tests, subject to the availability of seats.
