MA in English
The Post-Graduate Degree program in English (MA English) at Assam Don Bosco University is a comprehensive 2-year (4-semester) course designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of language and literature. The program covers a diverse range of literary genres, including prose, poetry, drama, and fiction, with a particular emphasis on Indian English Literature and North East Indian English Literature. The curriculum also encompasses Linguistics, Literary Criticism, African, American, European, and Post-Colonial Literature, as well as English Language Teaching.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any stream with 50% of the aggregate from a UGC Recognized University.
Provisional Admission: Applicants who have not yet obtained their Bachelor’s Degree also may apply for admission. Such candidates would be offered provisional admission until they furnish evidence of fulfilling the eligibility criterion stated in (1) above within 3 months of the commencement of the programme.
