The University has introduced a 4-year Undergraduate (UG) Degree (Honours with Research) in line with the National Education Policy 2020, starting from the academic year 2022-23.
Students achieving a minimum of 75% marks or a 7.5 CGPA in the first six semesters have the option to pursue a research stream in the fourth year of their undergraduate studies. This involves undertaking a research project or dissertation under the guidance of a faculty member, focusing on their major discipline.
Upon completion of 160 credits, including 12 credits from the research project/dissertation, students are awarded a 4-year UG Degree (Honours with Research). This initiative aims to encourage research at the undergraduate level and foster a culture of academic inquiry and excellence among students.
